Matterport, the 3D capture and spatial data company, has announced a partnership with LonRes, the residential data network in prime central London that has over 6,500 subscribers.
Matterport’s 3D data platform enables anyone to create and share digital twins of spaces. Through the partnership, LonRes subscribers will have access to cutting-edge 3D technology via Matterport’s network of capture technicians.
As well as discounted pay-as-you-go capture services, agents that want to capture virtual tours themselves will be able to buy Matterport cameras at a discounted rate.
James Morris-Manuel, vice-president and EMEA MD at Matterport, said: “Our partnership with LonRes comes at an important juncture for the London housing market. Digital twins allow prospective buyers to judge the size, space, and dimensions of each room and have proved an invaluable tool for supporting house hunters and estate agents alike.
“We’re pleased to be part of LonRes’s solutions and look forward to working with their diverse and vast community of advisers.”
Anthony Payne, Managing Director at LonRes, said:
“The partnership is particularly timely as the industry comes up against the issues caused by COVID-19 and the related lockdown and social distancing measures.
“We strive to support our network during this difficult time and believe that bringing Matterport technology onto LonRes is a real opportunity to offset some of the issues we face, speed up sales and help agents to best service their clients.”
