Major agency group does deal with ‘perks for tenants’ provider ahead of fees ban

One of the country’s largest estate agents has done a deal with a ‘perks for tenants’ provider ahead of the fees ban.

Leaders Romans Group will roll out Vaboo, described as the private rented sector’s first perks and engagement platform, to all 160 of its branches.

Vaboo gives tenants free access to exclusive money-saving offers in exchange for business-critical feedback.

Vaboo founder and CEO Jonathan Stein said: “Not only does this enable better engagement between agent and renter but also serves as an excellent opportunity to help combat renter affordability concern.”

Today’s announcement of the partnership with LRG follows Vaboo’s recent launch of its premium service tier.

This gives agents an opportunity to earn extra revenue through account upgrades and other additional products and services to help them overcome the loss of revenue due to the impending fee-ban.

Stein said: “We recognised that agents were on the lookout for ways to not only differentiate their service but also to identify new revenue streams.

“Our platform is a straightforward and effective way to do both requiring little effort from letting agents.

“We’re delighted to have such a key industry player on board, especially one who recognises the link between superior customer experience and overall business success.

“We hope the wider private rented sector begins to follow suit.”

Kiersty Sims, LRG’s marketing director, said: “Identifying ways to enhance our customer experience is key to tackling the challenges of the current lettings market.

“We want to ensure our tenants see value in what we offer and genuinely enjoy the whole experience of renting their home through us. Vaboo’s platform provides another simple way to help us achieve this.”
