And at 904 sq ft, no one could accuse it of being large.

Furthermore, it’s a basement flat which has just 30 years left on its lease.

And as if all that weren’t bad enough, it is affected by vibrations caused by nearby tube trains.

You might be forgiven for thinking that the agents would struggle a bit with it. Especially with a price tag of £595,000.

However, Hamptons say that the property in Stanhope Gardens, South Kensington, has gone under offer for over the asking price.

James Wardle, a director at Hamptons, said the property was “reasonably priced” given that it requires a lease extension and “an awful lot of work”.

The residents of Crawshaws Road in the midlands (see next story) would surely be gob-smacked if they knew of this.
