LonRes, the business-to-business property data consultancy, is launching a new website as part of its its 25th anniversary celebration.
Today LonRes comprises a network of some 5,200 agents working across the country, particularly London. It lists some 13,000 properties for sale (worth a collective £27bn) and 3,000 homes available to rent.
LonRes data tracks the prime London residential market in real-time. With a sales archive that goes back to 1986 – pre-dating the Land Registry by nine years – and a lettings database that goes back to 2004, LonRes data is widely regarded as the most comprehensive on the capital’s prime sales and lettings markets.
Originally focused solely on prime London, LonRes today extends beyond London to the country – linking London and rural agents. In addition, LonRes facilitates a discrete off-market service to a closed network of property professionals, provides a bespoke retained agents’ service and is used by surveyors for valuation purposes.
In 2019 LonRes acquired what is now known as FCS Compliance, an anti-money laundering business, which has fast established itself as one of leading providers of anti-money laundering compliance services for estate and letting agents.
LonRes’ William Carrington said: “Looking back over the last 25 years, the key difference is that today we are more aligned than ever to our customers’ needs. Our ability to innovate remains undimmed, but it is the depth of our experience in the residential arena that cannot be bettered by other platforms, and that will not change in the future. Trust and integrity keeps us at the forefront of the market.”
Anthony Payne added: “It’s a great testament to the company that 25 years on, we can count original subscribers among our clients today. The fact that William and I had both worked as agents in prime central London meant that the LonRes system was designed by property professionals specifically for property professionals.
“This in no small part lies behind the success of the business. That and the fact that we’ve always been quick to adapt and have stubbornly refused to cut corners. We listen to our subscribers and act on their concerns. We’ve come a long way in 25 years but the values that we adhered to when we launched the business still hold true today.”
