Lomond appoints former Chestertons CEO and Foxtons man John Ennis

John Ennis

Lomond has appointed ex-Chesterons CEO and long-serving Foxtons agent John Ennis as its new group chief sales officer

Ennis, who spent almost 24 years working for Foxtons, most recently as managing director of central London and new homes, left the London based estate agency in October 2022 to join Chestertons as CEO. However, he only last 12 months in the role, after departing in October last year.

It is not clear whey Ennis left the Chestertons, but Richard Davies is now operating as interim MD until a permanent successor is found.

Ennis has joined the senior management team at Lomond and work directly with Ed Phillips, the group chief executive.

“I look forward to working with the Ed and the regional teams within Lomond, to continue to deliver a market leading network in key cities and areas across the UK,” said Ennis.

Lomond has doubled in size over the last three years as a result of more than 50 acquisitions.

The agency now has more than 45,000 properties under management worth over £14bn and has major hubs in core rental markets including Aberdeen, Birmingham, Brighton, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Portsmouth and Southampton.

Phillips, commented: “Attracting someone of John’s calibre and experience is a hugely important part of our strategy to expand into wider markets and opportunities around the UK and especially London.

“Given the significant size and scale of the Lomond Group now, it’s crucial we add strength to the senior management team to enhance our ambitious plans; we see John’s appointment as key in delivering these plans and the next stage of our growth.”
