Local agents (and their puppies) put their might behind OTM

Yesterday’s launch of OnTheMarket was accompanied by some enthusiastic marketing by member agents.

We particularly liked the adorable 10-week-old puppy Bonnie at Letters of Distinction in York getting in on the act.

We have offered to adopt her, but been told we can’t, as the customers have also fallen in love with her. Well, we can’t blame them.

The team at the Sunderland office of Andrew Craig Estate Agents also look very smart.

It was noticeable that a topic under discussion on Eye yesterday was the OTM TV advertising campaign which starts next week.

One poster thought it might be the best advert yet for a portal.

If you haven’t yet seen the advert, the link is here

What do you think?

Well done, it just shows how many agents are sick of being ripped off every month !! RM do supply the leads but the fees are just too much, even the puppy has had enough.

If that was really true why have so many agents dropped Zoopla instead?

It's the safe bet, stick with the biggest because just in case. If all the agents on here had a decent pair they would have dropped both of them. Who starts a business off aiming at being No. 2 by strengthening there biggest competition….Oh yeah, OTM do

When I was uploading properties to Z and RM mainly all the leads were from RM, the ones from Z were more just 'interest' emails not actual viewings.

nothing but hype that will dry up, property industry eye is becoming extremely bias'd is it because you're being paid for an ad by OTM?

The OTM Advert is very similar to some recent Zoopla ones and very, very generic. They had a chance to be creative but they went down the safe, boring and completely forgettable path.

And so the swipes continue. You are either in or out. So many are in, that's their choice not yours. If you don't want join, fine that's your choice.

Love it. A guide dog to help the public find the site. Maybe rename the dog Seo 😉
