Letting agents merge as part of wider growth strategy

Henry Adams Lettings and AC Lettings in Bognor Regis have united to expand their presence across the coastal town.

The joint teams are now successfully operating from AC Lettings’s prominent location of St James’ House, situated close to the centre of Bognor, which has been refurbished to reflect the dual branding.

AC Letting has been a family owned business since 1986. The founder’s son, Lee Hopkins, joined the main board in 1990 before taking over the management of the company from his mother six years later.

Hopkins remains as a director of the new organisation and there were no changes in personnel at either Henry Adams or AC Lettings as a result of the merger.

Hopkins said, “In seeking a business partnership to enable the company to grow further, my foremost considerations were ethos and professionalism. I’m therefore very pleased to be combining forces with Henry Adams Lettings which has a well-earned reputation for excellent customer service.”

Danielle Plunkett-Smith, manager of Henry Adams Lettings in Bognor, and Lucy Marchant, property manager, both transferred to the Henry Adams AC Lettings office in St James House.

Ian Wiggett, managing director of Henry Adams Lettings, commented: “I’m delighted to confirm the merger with AC Lettings. Very much like us, they strive to provide a friendly, personal and professional service. We believe this new, combined team to be the strongest and most experienced in the market.

“I’ve no doubt that, with Lee’s local expertise and the backing of Henry Adams, we are stronger together and we look forward to working hard towards a bright future, both for our colleagues and for our customers.

“As part of our on-going strategy of organic growth and acquisition, we are keen to strengthen and expand our operation further,” added Ian. “As a result, we would like to hear from lettings businesses who may be interested either in selling or in working together within the Henry Adams group.”
