Sean Newman’s £300,000 commission carrot attracts 47 estate agents so far

Sean Newman from Fine & Country in Windsor, who is inviting other firms to co-market a luxury £30m mansion, says that 47 estate agents, from across the UK, have booked in to view the property for sale near Windsor.
Newman, the listing agent, is offering a potential commission of up to £300,000. He says that the agents hoping to find a buyer for the property will attend a viewing event this Friday, from 12pm to 2pm.

Newman said: “We’ve had agents from Newcastle to Southampton book into see this amazing home. Some have asked if it is OK to take photos and videos to add to their social media and my answer is yes of course, this not only promotes the Agents, but also promotes the property and could result in a potential buyer contacting the Agent.

“We have already had agents introduce buyers so this is definitely something we will do again with other listings. I really believe this is the future for estate agency in the UK following the US model..”

This reminds me of the story about a piper from Hamelin. A cohort of 47 agents with less intelligence than a giant snail is worrying.

They hear a siren and they …. follow.

Wow so 47 AML checks needing to be done- or 47 sets of reliance. Let’s hope the vendor knows their details might be given out that many times!

Can’t imagine Knight Frank, Savills, or any reputable agency so publicly admitting that they’re out of their depth..

Savills have already had a pop at selling this one so I guess they’ll be watching with interest.

Every property sale depends entirely on timing.  To sell, there needs to be a willing and able buyer wanting to buy what is for sale.

It will be interesting to see if this listing is timed right.

47 agents with more ego than sense.

I wonder if that much ego in one place might create a black hole?
