With the launch of the compulsory licensing and registration of all letting agents and landlords in Wales exactly one week away, the Welsh government has published a Code of Practice.

All agents and landlords who hold a licence under the Rent Smart Wales scheme must abide by the requirements of the code or run the risk of losing their licence.

That would mean they would be unable to let or manage any residential properties.
