The last affordable home before London … is where?

Here is today’s competition, courtesy of a cartoon in the Spectator.

All agents have to do is guess where this could be – and how far from London.

We thought Hull and Rotherham seemed a bit obvious, so we’ve gone for Abergavenny in Wales. But maybe Nuneaton and some of Cornwall could be contenders?

On a technical level it can not be England
The Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007 says thare can only be a single board not exceeding 0.6sqm
The siting of the 2nd board on the pavement is obviously far larger than permitted by planning regulations.

I got caught up in a friendly fire incident last week; I posted (on topic, in context on a story that even from new was in the archive so not on the front page) how I had instigated a means of combating the open all hours bedroom menace of passive intermediaries (the live chat functionality you tested as a result of a twitter tweet) The guy who benefitted from all that paid me a compliment (4 hours later and someone thought it was me parasiting PIE with a second identity and blowing smoke up my own Rrrrs.
