6. Date for your diaries – SAFEagent Awareness Week 2015: ALL NEXT WEEK
June 1st to 5th is this year’s SAFEagent Awareness campaign.
SAFEagent has planned a full week of activity next week to promote to consumers that they should only use SAFEagents who are part of Client Money Protection Schemes. This is being supported across the U.K. by the SAFEagent community and all in the property sector who care about consumer protection.
The timing is auspicious because, from May 27, under the Consumer Rights Act, it became a requirement for all agents to display details of fees and charges in their offices as well as stating whether or not they are part of a Client Money Protection Scheme and of which redress scheme they are a member.
The Property Redress Scheme have produced a helpful guide for agents.
SAFEagent Awareness Week will present an excellent opportunity to really focus consumers on what they should be looking for by way of financial protection from agents and what they should expect to see if they visit an agent’s office or website.
You can find out more about how to support this campaign, along with ready-made tweets and website banners here
PropertyTribes.com will once again be supporting this initiative and believe we can all join this community supported campaign.
At a hustings meeting Bob Neil for the conservatives said the conservatives were against further legislation then this announcement. Which one of Mr Camerons two faces should we listen to?
