Renowned estate agency trainer Julian O’Dell is launching his brand-new business, aptly named Marvellous Training Solutions.

O’Dell is well-known within the training world, as a previous partner of Thomas Morris (TM), helping to run and grow that business for 15 years, before it was sold in a multi-million-pound deal.

He said: “Since 2002, I have run TM training and development which has delivered award winning training and consultancy services to the property industry, both in the UK and abroad. When the pandemic struck, our physical events became obsolete and my business partner Peter Chapman and I brought the business to a natural close.

“Peter was snapped up and offered a senior management position with one of our longstanding client firms, which is a great compliment to the training and consultancy work he has carried out with them for over te0 years. I spent the first part of lockdown focusing on maintaining the welfare of family and friends, before deciding I was too young (just) to retire.

“I am delighted to have been able to create and run online training events to amazing feedback, including our acclaimed three-day ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ induction programme for new starters and junior negotiators.

“Interestingly and pleasingly, the average scores in the end of course exam are higher than the averages achieved in the former ‘in the flesh’ version, proving that online live events work. Our ‘Winning Quality Instructions’ course has gone down a storm too. One-to-one ‘Power hours’ on Zoom with managers and business owners have proven popular as well, so much so that I may reach capacity soon.

“The key seems to continue to be that agents enjoy working with a training provider who has actually experienced their challenges first hand. There’s no theory with my training, just proven, practical, powerful content that works.”

Marvellous Training Solutions recently teamed up with Kerfuffle for a new project providing a library of video training sessions to Kerfuffle member agents.
