‘Inspirational’ agent dies suddenly aged 42

Tributes have been paid to a prominent west country agent who has died suddenly at the age of 42.

Ben Salter, a regional director for Miller & Son, died after a heart attack at his home in Truro. His company described him as inspirational.

Mr Salter, who was married with two daughters, joined Miller & Son in October 2012 as a regional manager, subsequently becoming regional director, responsible for offices in Truro, Falmouth, Redruth and Camborne.

He was also responsible for company policy.

Before joining Miller & Son, Mr Salter ran his own estate agency in Truro and Perranporth. A career estate agent, he began as a trainee negotiator for Hambro Countrywide in Bath.

Jeremy Miller, senior partner of Miller & Son, said: “The whole company is mourning his loss.”

Miller & Son has 11 offices and 80 staff throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Extremely sad news at such an incredibly young age. Condolences to all from the team at Northwood who lost our MD and friend Nick Cooper, only last year. We know how difficult a time it is.
