Hibbert Homes, which covers the housing markets in south Manchester and Stockport, has completed the acquisition of Trading Places in Sale.
This is Hibbert Homes’ second purchase in two years, having bought Stockport-based The Carrington Partnership in 2021.
The Carrington Partnership was a family-run letting-only agency, but Hibbert Homes has added a sales side to the business since the acquisition.
Hibbert Homes director, Will Magdzinski, says the purchase of Trading Places in Sale, a “thriving sales and letting business”, will offer the firm “an even stronger reach in the area”.
Magdzinski told EYE: “We will be rebranding the [Trading Places] shop [in Sale] and it will be trading as Hibbert Homes. We are taking on all their staff and welcoming them into the Hibbert Homes family. The former owners have now left, and we have full control.
“We have always wanted to have a presence in Sale as it is down the road from our first office in Hale village. It is a vibrant town which is going from strength to strength and has a lot of opportunity.
“We have a lot of connections there and are really looking forward to working in the area.”
According to Magdzinski, Hibbert Homes, which launched in 2011, plans to open a fourth office in the near future, with another acquisition a real possibility, if the right opportunity arises.
“The company is well run and it has a great sales reputation and almost 400 properties let. Our plan is to continue to grow the business in the Hibbert Homes way,” he added.
Hibbert Homes’ acquisition of Trading Places in Sale will have no impact on the other Trading Places franchise businesses operating elsewhere.
