Independent agency on the south coast snaps up rival

Oakfield has acquired Andrews Estate Agents in Hastings.

Andrews, established in 1973, is a well-respected company. But the firm’s now previous owners have decided that the time has come for them to focus their resources away from the south coast.

Andrews portfolio of sales, lettings, and property management, as well as the existing local team and Hastings prime flagship office have been merged into Oakfield Estate Agents.

Neil Newstead, founder and CEO of Oakfield, said: “We are delighted to have acquired this highly respected business, premises and expert local team, our company has been established for 25 years, its growth over that time has been largely organic, stemming from the referrals of our client base. The growth and development of our team has evolved hugely over the years and we are recognised as the leading agent in this area.

“It is so exciting to welcome the local team, landlords and sellers to Oakfield, and we very much look forward to building new relationships with them all.

The current premises located at 60-61 Robertson street, Hastings, is already undergoing a full refurbishment project and is due to be fully operational within the next two weeks, and at that time the local team in St Leonards will move into the new branch joining the existing Andrews team.

Oakfield’s head office in St Leonards will remain home to the firm’s property management, accounts and block management teams.

Newstead added: “We will continue to expand, and we are keen to look at other opportunities to grow our business further, whilst maintaining exceptional customer service levels and property expertise.

“We will continue to support our local community by providing a quality service and keeping up to date with compliance and industry changes.”
