CGT Lettings Limited in Gloucestershire has completed the acquisition of local agency Twinley Property, which was set up by experienced estate agents Saffron Dougall and Amber Hinds in 2019.
The pair have decided sell-up in order to spend more time with their family and focus on other projects.
This acquisition, the third for CGT in three years, will expand CGT Lettings’ presence in the local area and increase their portfolio to near 2,000 properties under management across its five branches in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Quedgeley & Kingsway, Tewkesbury and Stroud.
Dougall and Hinds issued the press with a joint statement: “It wasn’t an easy decision to close our successful and well revered business, that said we take great reassurance knowing our loyal clients are going to be taken care of by CGT, a fellow conscientious estate and letting agency who share the same ethos and will deliver the same high standard of service expected by our clients.
“This decision derived from the difficulty of juggling to maintain our total commitment to our clients alongside that of our other full-time job as parents. We must also prioritise our wellbeing after the last year, which has taken a great toll on it.
“We, therefore, hand over the reins to the capable hands of CGT along with our best wishes.”
Angharad Trueman, managing director at CGT Lettings, commented: “We are very pleased to complement our business by acquiring another portfolio into our growing brand. Amber and Saffron have shown such passion in setting up their business and have grown it well through a turbulent few years with the pandemic.
“Their insight and knowledge of the area is a tremendous asset and will ensure a smooth and seamless transfer for all clients. It’s clear we share the same values of hard work and dedication to our clients and therefore I am confident Twinley’s previous landlords and vendors will be very happy moving to CGT.
“I am thrilled that we are adding further strength to our status as the largest independent agent in Gloucestershire as we move forward with our expansion plans across the county and beyond.”
