Hybrid agency eyes growth as it looks set to hit £3m turnover

Hortons Estate Agents says that it is on track to reach £3m in revenue this year, a 186% increase on the previous financial year.

The company enjoyed a record-breaking quarter in Q2 2021, completing 283 transactions worth just over £82m.

The hybrid agency, which operates a hub-style service, plans to expand nationwide.

The company, which was launched in 2017 by Adam Horton, currently covers Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

In total, it currently operates 19 territories in the East Midlands, but has recently opened in Leamington Spa, and is due to launch in Banbury in August.

The next phase is to expand with a view to offering full national coverage, according to Horton.

He said “We’re delighted with our quarterly result, and the position it puts us in for the year.’

“Our success is a result of our growing team of experienced agents and expansion into new territories. Over the coming years, we’re planning to increase the rate of growth, our aim is to become a national agency within the next 5 years.”

Adam Horton is the same agent who issued a press release saying he has repaid his CBILS loan. These loans were always repayable and this was the same as congratulating oneself for breathing in air. Whatever floats your boat, I suppose.

Presumably, Adam has trousered a pile emergency furlough monies while reporting a record quarter? If he hasn’t repaid his furlough monies, but has tried to hoodwink the public into thinking he’s doing to the right thing over CBILS, it’s a serious PR fail.

We can always report them to HMRC, who are cracking down on fraudulent claims. Let’s see how they do when furlough ends.

Well done Adam and team! What an amazing set of results! Ignore the stupid comments on here. I guess success seems to bother some individuals!

Best wishes, Mitul & all at Smooth.

Are you the same guy who wound your business up. left your creditors penniless, and HMRC out of pocket for 100s of £1000s, and then restarted under a different name? If so, your track record has been well covered by PIE.

Failure is not the opposite to success, it’s part of success. Sometimes you learn more from failure than you do success.

I guess we shall look forward to tomorrow’s PIE and see what misery you have to spread tomorrow!
