Wards estate agents has announced the acquisition of Patti Jones in Herne Bay, expanding their South East portfolio.
The purchase comes after Patti Jones decided that the time was right to retire from the business, with Wards, which celebrated 100 years trading in 2022, chosen to take over the independent agency.
Patti Jones and Wards have been working closely together to ensure a smooth transition for customers.
This is the first acquisition for Wards and Arun Lettings, signalling the desire to expand even further, according to the managing director of letting and business development, Jason Bunning.
He said: “From the earliest stages, the most crucial aspect to Patti has been finding an agent that shares her ethos for excellent customer service, having operated in the Herne Bay area for decades, which is why Wards is a great fit.
“Patti Jones Landlords and Tenants will benefit from the experience of our Senior Branch Partner, Abi Miles, who has worked for Wards for over fifteen years, along with her team. Along with some of the additional benefits that Wards can provide, not least our online Landlord and Tenant Portal.
“This is a brilliant move for Wards, we are always looking for opportunities to grow the portfolio, and this feels like the perfect fit.”
Not having heard of either Wards or Patti Jones I googled them both. Ouch! Wards score a woeful 3.8 and Patti Jones even worse at 3.3. Any agent in London scoring so low would cease to trade pretty rapidly – can anyone explain how a business in Maidstone or Herne Bay can continue to trade with such a welter of negative Google reviews?
