Hamptons has successfully raised £150,000 for its charity partner, Mind, since the partnership began in May 2022, the estate agency has announced.
This achievement reflects the continued commitment of Hamptons’ teams to support mental health awareness and services.
Over the years the estate agency has made a cumulative effort to raise money and awareness for this important charity in a variety of different ways – from taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge and climbing the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales – Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon in 24 hours, to running marathons, skydiving, hosting bake sales, and everything in between.
This year, Hamptons has built on these previous successes with a wide range of new fundraising initiatives, some of the highlights include the Hamptons Charity Golf Cup which raised £10,ooo, Hamptons’ Walk and Talk – led by Hamptons men’s group who took 5,500 steps, the same number of people who lose their lives to suicide in the UK each year, and raised over £1,400.
In July, Hamptons launched its big fundraising initiative of the year, “The Mind Games” – a company-wide campaign which encouraged each region to organise and host its own fundraising activities in support of this worthy cause.
With more than 85 offices across the network, the initiative sparked a great variety of activities including pub quizzes, rugby sweepstakes, and bigger fundraisers like involvement in the Bournemouth Half Marathon from the Windsor branch, and the Sloane Square branch’s “Cycle across the country” where they cycled the distance from Land’s End to John o’ Groats on exercise bikes and raised £3,700 for Mind as a result.
Andrew Berrie, head of corporate partnerships at Mind: “We’re incredibly grateful to Hamptons for their unwavering support since 2022. Together, we’ve raised an amazing £150,000, helping us deliver vital services like our helplines and Side by Side peer support platform. At a time when we’re facing a mental health crisis, partnerships like this are more important than ever. Together, we’re working towards a future where no mind is left behind.”
During this time, Hamptons has put additional measures in place to ensure its employees’ mental health needs are supported. All team members now have access to free mental health consultations, a 24-hour confidential helpline for support on a wide range of issues, including mental health, and access to counselling sessions.
In recent years, the business has also introduced employee-led affinity groups, creating networks that foster inclusion, connection, and support. These groups have delivered initiatives that have made a real difference to colleagues’ working lives.
For example, the Men’s Group raised awareness of men’s mental health by organising a “Men’s Walk & Talk” fundraiser this year, while the Women’s Group launched campaigns to highlight menopause and endometriosis.
Mary Beeton, head of residential sales at Hamptons, said: “At Hamptons we understand the profound impact mental health challenges can have, not only on individuals but also on their loved ones too, and we are determined to make a difference by raising awareness and funds for this worthy cause.
“It’s been inspiring to see the business come together to pause, reflect, and learn—while supporting such a meaningful cause that touches us all. As a company of 1,200 people, we recognise the significant impact we can make. This responsibility drives us to raise both awareness and funds, listen to our employees, and implement meaningful changes.”
