The Guild of Property Professionals is launching a new auctions service, powered by IAM Sold.
As part of the offering, Guild members will have access to services which include both the traditional and modern method of auction.
Guild CE Iain McKenzie said: “At The Guild, we are always looking at new ways to enhance our service offering to our members to give them the competitive edge and meet their customers’ needs.
“Giving them access to an award-winning auction service was a natural next step and we are delighted to have partnered with IAM Sold to offer an innovative route to market.”
Jamie Cooke, managing director of IAM Sold, said: “We respect the professionalism of The Guild and its members, and there are many synergies between us, so it’s a great strategic partnership.
“Prior to the roll out, we had a large number of Guild clients in our network, so this collaboration is a natural progression and mutually beneficial to IAM Sold, the Guild and its members.
“We look forward to developing further relationships with members in the coming months and to further expanding the geographical reach of the IAM Sold network.”
The Guild Auctions will organise training days in the coming months, including the creation of bespoke training plans for some of the largest brands within the Guild network.
Meanwhile, the Guild and its sister company Fine & Country have launched an upgraded referral system.
Agents can refer buyers and sellers to an agent in a different part of the country – or in the case of Fine & Country, overseas.
New software will track the process stage by stage, with automatic updates when the property is listed or exchanged. It is available to download in the AppStore and Google Play, so agents can refer straight from their smartphones.
The new system launches with a 24/7 hotline for agent support enquiries, plus a marketing campaign.
Wonder how this will play with the Easy setup? At the trad auctions will vendors be offered the cheaper option of taking the rostrum themselves?

Hah, I thought there for a moment that the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) had set up an auction business!
