Here is a terrific example of an estate agent combining local engagement – and a great cause – with marketing acumen that has actually resulted in the agent taking its branding OFF the boards.
Nathan Anderson-Dixon, owner of Abode Anderson-Dixon, in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, has instead put on his boards the smiling face of a five-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, together with the text number and code for donors to give money.
Kyreigh O’Regan is a local boy who needs an operation in the US which will cost £65,000.
Anderson-Dixon, whose Uttoxeter office opened only this year, has supported the Kyreigh’s Kause fund-raising campaign from the outset, but recently learned that the text donations had pulled in just £150.
He said: “I wanted to find a way to help that wasn’t just going to look like PR for us.
“So we’ve removed all the branding from our boards and stuck on Kyreigh’s inspirational smile, along with the donation details.
“He’s just a wonderful little man and you can’t help but want to make a contribution when you’ve met him.
“All the people who work with me are family people and I’ve got a son who’s a similar age.
“If it was my son who was suffering, I’d want the community to get behind me.
“So we’re joining the town in doing our bit. It’s amazing how it’s taken off.”
Here’s how the Uttoxeter News reported the story.
A heart-warming story – well done, Nathan !

I take my hat off to you, what a great thing to do. Perhaps PIE could find out if Nathan has a link for any donations through his company?
