Fine & Country agents helped raise almost £100,000 for homeless charities last year.
The Fine & Country Foundation, the charitable arm of the high-end agency, said it had raised £96,795 to fund grants for homeless charities in 2018, taking the total raised since 2014 to £355,312.
Agents raised money through fundraising events, including fashion shows, trekking expeditions and a Reliant Robin European road trip.
David Lindley, chief executive of Fine & Country and trustee of the Foundation, said: “We are delighted to see The Foundation flourish and grow.
“In 2018 we launched our grant programme to invite homeless charities to apply for up to £3,000 of funding in spring and autumn.
“The grants have been a huge success with more than £100,000 given to 25 homeless charities last year.
“The projects range from converting shipping containers into self-sustaining micro-flats, to funding the mortgages for charities to remain in their premises.
“I am proud to be part of The Foundation and the collective good of our enthusiastic network for coming together with their generosity and unique fundraising ideas.”
There are also plenty of fundraising events taking place this year including treks to Nepal and Kilimanjaro, golf days, fashion shows, sleep-outs and marathons.

Dear Charlotte,
Thank you for taking the time to respond. It is unfortunate that some of the large charities use funding to by the CEO’s and staff and the obtain the “best return on investment” the smaller charities will almost always serve better and achieve more pound for pound. Shelter this year has unfairly attacked the Private rented sector and agents in particular and this is something I feel strongly about (despite not being an agent!). The big charities like Shelter etc are funded by people like the Nationwide & B&Q so a source for the small charities must be a good thing and will achieve more pound for pound. Of course I am not wishing to say how your fund raising should be spent and I applaud your foundation’s hard work. WIth warmest regards, Will2
veritable, indeed. – shame the Govt’s response is to decimate Agents, increase costs – which they just don’t seem to understand will be reflected in higher rents.
I think it would be charitable to send a ‘monopoly set’ to every politician !
I just hope the funds are distributed to worthy charities and NOT political lobbyists like shelter and certain political so called think tanks. Worthy charities being those that provide long term solutions for housing and short term physical accommodation and direct support to the homeless like medical care food and clothing. NOT so called charities like shelter. Generation Rant and the like that have a political agenda. Use the funding to physically help those most needing it. After all B&Q and Nationwide BS already fund the less practical so called charities PS well done Fine & Country Foundation.
