Fly-on-the-wall TV’s Lewis Rossiter joins eMoov as local property director

Online firm eMoov has recruited a new poster boy agent to its ranks.

He is TV’s fly-on-the-wall estate agency star Lewis Rossiter, who becomes eMoov’s  latest Local Property Director.

Rossiter, who will look after the south-west region and also act as spokesperson for the whole company, appeared in the TV series, Under Offer: Estate Agents on the Job.

During that series, he was branch manager for Bradleys in Exeter. The documentary showed him working very hard on behalf of clients, but also a bit shame-faced after recalling being sick over his boss’s shoes during the company’s previous awards ceremony. Oops!

More recently, he has co-hosted Radio 5 Live show All About Property, with Gabby Logan, which has a second series coming up.

It is not known why Rossiter has left the successful west country chain Bradleys, but last night eMoov founder Russell Quirk insisted: “Lewis left Bradleys after four happy years of his own accord.

“He thought carefully about his career direction and came to the conclusion as many have that he was best placed to flourish in a forward thinking, consumer friendly sector of our industry.”

Rossiter himself said of his transition to eMoov: “I’m extremely excited about this new chapter and what it may bring.

“I wouldn’t quite say I’m jumping ship from the sinking HMS High Street, but now my time with Bradleys has come to an end, it is certainly time to pivot away from a dated sector and look towards the future. I’ve always been an advocate of digital disruption if it translates into a better outcome for the customer.

“I’ve had my eye on the online model for quite some time now and look forward to working for eMoov, within a forward thinking sector, putting the consumer first.

“It’s also refreshing to find a company that places as much importance on the media opportunities open to me, as the top service I can provide to sellers in the south west as their eMoov LPD. I’ve certainly found that at eMoov and, with the best in-house PR in the sector, it was a no brainer for me to make the move over.”

eMoov founder Russell Quirk said: “We’re delighted to have Lewis on board both as an LPD and to provide additional industry insight as an eMoov media spokesman.

“Like myself, Lewis has experienced the ins and outs of the high street sector and enjoyed a lot of success in doing so, particularly within the media spotlight.

“So it speaks volumes that Lewis has decided to make the move to the online sector.

“I believe his contagious mix of charisma when commenting to the media, and his wealth of local property knowledge, will make him an invaluable member of the growing eMoov family.”

Gamekeeper turned poacher?  Watch for the date he “Emoves on”. As the Beatles once sang, “It won’t be long”

When I saw ‘Rossiter’ joins emoov I thought – That scheming, weedling, whining bloke will fit right in.

Then I realised it’s Lewis. Not Leonard, aka Rigsby.

    He’ll fit in too.

I can see it now – the type of grainy, out-of-focus and poorly-composed photo that we are so used to seeing on the listings of Call-Centre Agents listings – but this one is of the poor deluded chap heaving his entire stomach content over the Quirkster’s Hush Puppies at the Christmas bash.

It has my vote already for PICTURE OF THE MILLENIUM!

    Good luck to all involved.

To be honest i thought the guy came across as a class A’ ***** on the tv show. Cannot believe he managed to get more media work after. Just goes to show that the media / press know little about the property industry.

Interestingly, both subjects of this article ‘followed’ me yesterday on Tw@tter.

Not sure whether to feel honoured, worried or infested.
