FCS Compliance and the National Crime Agency (NCA) have united to present the first Rightmove AML webinar of the year – Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) – the process, minimising delays and avoiding penalties.
Free to Rightmove members, this hour-long session will take place at 10am on Thursday 26 January.
The webinar will be presented by Malcolm Driscoll, lead AML Consultant at FCS Compliance and Michael Jones, ‘Reporter Engagement – Senior Officer’, in the UK Financial Intelligence Unit (UKFIU) at the NCA.
Driscoll commented: “The number of SARs being filed with the NCA is on the up. Between 2019-20 some 570,000 SARs were filed, while in 2022 it looks as though numbers will top 850,000. Understanding when to file a SAR and the process itself is important. The consequences of getting it wrong can be costly.”
Michael Jones who has first-hand experience of dealing with SARS will discuss what happens to a report when it arrives at the NCA.
This is a practical session with an opportunity for delegates to put questions directly to the experts.
Free to Rightmove members, registration for the webinar is through the Rightmove Hub.
