Yet another would-be saviour has emerged for the Emoov sellers hit by the collapse of the firm.

Fastmove managing director Christian Armitage has come forward to say he will sell their homes for free.

He said: “Lots of Emoov customers have paid £1,000 upfront for estate agency services. They have lost everything.

“A local agent will charge them £1,000 to sell their property. We will sell it for them for nothing.

“With it being Christmas it’s hard for people who have lost money for nothing. So we have agreed to service all these clients free of charge.

“We will put their properties on the market, list them, find a buyer, complete the sales and not charge them a penny to sell their homes.

“We are doing it for goodwill. We’re offering a free service to help these customers because they will have to go back to the market and find another agent, making the whole experience quite expensive.

“What does it cost me? Labour and my time – it’s not the end of the world.

“People are very wary when you offer to do something for nothing and I think that’s really sad. It’s nice to give a bit back.”

Fastmove offers to purchase homes in cash, saying it buys any house and sells homes fast.

Fastmove’s offer – open until the end of this month – follows a similar ‘freebie’  from Purplebricks.

Administrators James Cowper Kreston have reportedly sold ‘access’ to the properties to auction firm Pattinson.
