Lomond has completed its second Kent-based acquisition, looking to further bolster its presence within its new region of operations.
Lomond’s latest deal involves the purchase of independent estate and lettings agent, Oakwood Homes.
Founded by the husband-and-wife team of Andrew and Teresa Dickinson, the business has been serving buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords across Kent for two decades and currently manages some 900 properties.
Lomond looks to build on its recently established presence in the county with this second acquisition, as the region proves to be a key area of interest for the firm’s ambitious growth plans across the South East of England.
Lomond has now acquired two well-established companies within the Kent estate agency sector, providing the business with solid foundation for further growth.
The managing director of Oakwood Homes, Andrew Dickinson, commented: “Teresa and I are extremely proud of what we’ve achieved at Oakwood Homes over the last 20 years, but we feel the time has come to embark on a new chapter in our lives. Although we’ve had a number of approaches, we believed it was essential to ensure that any transition made would be in the best interests of both our dedicated team and loyal clients.
“After very careful consideration we believe that Lomond is the ideal fit in this respect, aligning strongly with the core values that Oakwood Homes has operated by from day one.
“Our exceptional team deserves the opportunity to grow, and with Lomond’s support, we look forward to seeing them thrive in the future. ”
Lomond’s CEO, Ed Phillips, added: “We believe that with Oakwood Homes joining the group we have acquired two of the very best estate agency businesses Kent has to offer.
“This milestone consolidates our extremely strong start with respect to our expansion across the Kent area and we’re eager to welcome the Oakwood team into Lomond and further deliver on our growth ambitions within the county over the coming months.”
The juggernaut continues to motor ahead.
It is hard not to be impressed by Lomond’s growth, and it has outshone all other national chains by a wide margin.
