Huddersfield-based estate agent Chan Khangura has announced a significant expansion in his property agency business.
Chan, owner and managing director of Whitegates Estate Agents Huddersfield, Brighouse and Holmfirth, has completed the acquisition of the Whitegates branch covering Pontefract, Castleford and South Elmsall.
The expansion means that the agency, headed up by Chan and his father Kashmir, now manages more than 1,500 rental properties across the region.
Chan Khangura said: “I can honestly say it has been one of the longest and hardest deals I have completed but I have to thank everyone involved in helping make it happen.
“I am lucky to be supported by many different people in my professional life, a wonderful staff base, family and my father who helps tremendously on a daily basis.”
As part of the expansion, long-standing employee Liam Reilly has been promoted to become associate director and will oversee the sales operation from the Pontefract and South Elmsall offices.
TPFG Whitegates franchisee added: “Liam has become a great friend and has grown considerably over the last six years and now is the time for another chapter in his professional life. I know he will be a big success in his new role.”
Chan and Kashmir Khangura last year purchased the rental business of McField Residential in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, along with Let Two and CMK Lettings, formerly Chainmakers. Both businesses are located in Huddersfield.
