Fast-growing estate agency acquires long-standing rival

Henry Adams Lettings Bognor RegisHenry Adams has strengthened its presence along the South Coast with the acquisition of Coastguards Lettings, a well-respected lettings business based in Aldwick, near Bognor Regis.

The completion of the deal means Coastguards’ portfolio has now been integrated into Henry Adams’ Bognor Regis lettings operation. The company confirmed that no redundancies have been made as part of the acquisition.

Coastguards Lettings, owned by Bryan Fry, has been serving landlords and tenants in the Aldwick area for many years, earning a strong reputation for local expertise and personal service.

Since opening its first office in Chichester in 1991, Henry Adams has expanded steadily across West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, developing a comprehensive property offering that includes residential sales, lettings, property management and a wide range of professional consultancy services.

Ian Wiggett, CEO of Henry Adams, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Coastguards Lettings into the Henry Adams fold. Their long-standing commitment to personal service very much mirrors our own, so it was a natural fit from the outset. We look forward to supporting their landlords and tenants with our wider resources while maintaining the values that have made Coastguards Lettings such a well-respected local name.”

The integration of Coastguards Lettings into the thriving Henry Adams Bognor & Aldwick Lettings operation marks another step in the expansion of Henry Adams’ lettings network, further strengthening the firm’s coverage along the West Sussex coastline.

Phil Davis, who managed Coastguards Lettings, commented: “In an increasingly difficult financial climate for private letting, the decision to join a larger local firm became apparent. Ian Wiggett and his team at Henry Adams have been very professional and extremely helpful with the transition, which augers well for the future.”
