A Martin & Co franchisee has added almost 100 lettings properties to its portfolio.

The Martin & Co Beeston, Nottingham City and Nottingham Hucknall branches have acquired 97 managed properties from SOLOS Residential, which is based in the same city.

The three Martin & Co branches are run by Martin and Kate Crown, alongside their sons Steven and Tony, and were helped with the transaction by parent company the Property Franchise Group.

Steven Crown said: “We’re extremely pleased to have completed the acquisition of SOLOS, which is an agency much like our own in that it’s family run and has a similar focus on delivering strong customer service.

“My parents’ background was in financial services before they decided to move into the lettings business and it’s become very much a family affair since then.

“Martin & Co was a very different proposition back in 2001 and was more of a lifestyle option for my parents who were keen to semi-retire.

“But with the advice from the Property Franchise Group on how to build the business, our portfolio grew rapidly so semi-retirement quickly became less of an option.”
