EYE’s video winner raises £2,600 for homeless charity

The festive season may be over but the winner of EYE’s Christmas video competition is continuing the celebrations after raising £2,600 for charity.

Somerset agency Gibbins Richards promised to donate £1 to the Taunton Association for the Homeless for each share of its festive video entry on Facebook throughout December.

The agency, which totted up 465 shares and 10,000 views for its video on Facebook, ended up donating £2,600, which included a £100 donation from EYE (as well as a Hotel Chocolat box of chocolates for their efforts).

Mark Gibbins, director of Gibbins Richards, said: “This is the first time we have produced a Christmas video but it was a great success as we were able to include not only our staff but their families as well.

“We chose Taunton Association for the Homeless as it was a local charity and it seemed wholly appropriate to offer support for the festive season.”
