Julie Ford, a housing sector professional with more than 30 years’ experience, has launched an independent advice service aimed at helping landlords, agents and property professionals navigate legal and regulatory requirements.
The service, which costs from £600 a year, focuses on simplifying compliance by translating complex legislation into practical guidance and offers direct access to experienced industry specialists without membership fees or long-term commitments.
“Advice shouldn’t be trapped behind hefty membership fees – it should be easily and affordably accessible,” said Ford. “I want to improve the standard of advice across the industry, one conversation at a time.”
The initiative has already gained support from several industry organisations including CoHo, ResiSure, Landlord Licensing & Defence, and Girls in Property.
Ford, who recently recorded a podcast with MoneySavingExpert’s Martin Lewis, is a consultant, trainer, Zoopla Lettings Advisory board member and compliance specialist.
“People don’t need more noise,” she added. “They need clarity, confidence, and someone who understands the realities of this industry from the ground up.”
