Expansion strategy sees property group snap up lettings agency

Charters Group has announced the acquisition of Hampshire-based lettings agency Purelet Ltd.

The move is part of Charters’ ongoing lettings expansion strategy, with the Chandlers Ford-headquartered business actively seeking opportunities to invest in other portfolios.

Robert Mott, chairman of Charters Group – which has a branch network across Hampshire and Surrey – said: “We are delighted to welcome Purelet to our portfolio and further expand our lettings operations in the South East. This addition showcases our dedication to providing an unrivalled service to landlords.

“With our extensive expertise, solid infrastructure and commitment to staying up to date with legislation, we are well equipped to alleviate the challenges of being a landlord.”

Purelet’s Peter Nobbs said the deal represented a “fabulous opportunity for both businesses” and had reignited his passion for the property industry.

“Our landlords will benefit greatly from this new collaboration,” he added. “The partnership will provide our clients professionalism, knowledge but more importantly customer care and I am excited to be part of the Charters Group.”
