Former Chestertons director Matthew Jackson has joined Kensington-based agency Harding Green as a consultant.
Jackson had worked for Chestertons since 2011, first as part of its residential sales team before becoming head of investment, focusing on prime property sales in London.
Harding Green provides all the services of a traditional agent but allows its property professionals to work remotely and on a self-employed basis.
Agents share 50% of any commissions they generate with the company.
Jackson will be based at his home in the south of France but will commute into London.
He will also be involved in business development and the growth of Harding Green across London.
Jackson said: “Whilst I enjoyed seven successful years at my former company, I believe that Harding Green is the future of our industry, which is why I have chosen to throw my full weight behind the project.
“During my career I have seen the face of our industry change considerably and the joy of Harding Green’s structure is that it allows experienced estate agents to work as consultants, choosing when and where they work, all whilst taking home a considerable share of any fees they earn.
“For me, having family in the south of France, it was an obvious choice and allows me to work remotely when I choose to, all whilst being able to continue to operate in the market I know best.”
Nick Carter, managing director of Harding Green, said: “We’re really excited to have Matthew on board and I have no doubt he will thrive under our structure.
“It’s all about service and making sure people come back to you: that is something Matthew is brilliant at.”
