An independent estate agency has agreed a one-year extension to an existing deal to sponsor Oxford City Football Club’s main stand next season.

Oxford City announced the deal with Wallers Estate Agents ahead of the club’s Vanarama National League South play-off semi-final victory over Eastbourne Borough on Wednesday night, which took place in front of a record crowd of more than 1,300 fans at Court Place Farm.

Rowan Waller, owner of Wallers Estate Agents, told the press: “It was a no-brainer for me to renew our sponsorship of the main stand for next season.

“I wanted to make the commitment ahead of the season ending because I actually want it to make a statement that it is not about whether we go up this month or not.

“It has been an absolute joy to be part of the club’s journey for the past two seasons, but more than that it has been a revelation.

“I started out as a sponsor, but I became a fan. This place and this club has a way of getting under your skin and I’m genuinely on a personal mission now to swell our fan base.”

Oxford City co-owner Justin Merritt welcomed the estate agency’s continued investment in the football cub.

He said: “We are delighted that Wallers have decided to extend their stand sponsorship for the forthcoming season.

“Rowan has attended many games with friends, family and other business partners and with the local community being at the heart of Wallers’ philosophy, it is a perfect fit for the club.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to Rowan and his staff for their continued support.”
