An estate agency in Oldham has announced expansion plans with a well-established local company that would have mutual benefits.
Kirkham Property, Legal and Financial is expanding its estate agency business into Tameside, while Cordingleys Chartered Surveyors, which is based in Ashton, is increasing its presence in Oldham.
The two companies have worked closely together since 2008, with Kirkham Property’s founder, Alan Kirkham, a director at Cordingleys.
Now after 14 years of collaboration, Kirkham Property is rebranding the estate agency arm of Cordingleys, which was first established in 1788 as a land agent for the Earl of Stamford, who owned a considerable amount of land in Tameside and the surrounding areas.
Kirkham, who launched Kirkham Property approximately 40 years ago, said: “We are all really excited about these changes and can promise clients an even better service from both businesses for many years to come, although perhaps, not as many as since Cordingleys was first established.”
The changes will see Cordingleys estate agency relocate from its existing premises on Wellington Road in Ashton to a main road position at Atlas House on Oldham Road, with the Chartered Surveyors moving nearby to Westbourne House on Oldham Road, and also opening an additional office next to the main Kirkham Property office in Chadderton.
David Newsam, property valuer and area manager for Tameside at Cordingleys, commented: “Kirkham Property is a forward-thinking, modern estate agency and we feel this change will bring many advantages to our clients and customers. With the support of Kirkham Property’s experienced and friendly staff, we’ll be able to offer an improved and more extensive service across the Oldham and Tameside areas.”
