Estate agency targeted by thieves in overnight break-in

Thieves have targeted a recently opened business in a busy York suburb, smashing the front door window of an estate agency during an early-morning break-in.

Price Independent Estate Agents, based in The Village in Heworth, said the incident occurred at around 4.45am on Sunday, with intruders rummaging through every drawer and cupboard inside the premises.

Estate agency owner, Holly Price, told The Press: “We were devastated to wake up this morning to hear the news.

“We’re opening up tomorrow but it looks like we’ll have to spend the day cleaning up.

“This isn’t just about broken glass or repairs, it’s the emotional toll and anxiety it causes.”

The shop in Heworth opened in September this year.

North Yorkshire Police has been approached for comment.
