Estate agency software users given reassurance after Trojan ‘hacking’ warnings

Some users of software Jupix were yesterday concerned to see ‘Trojan’ security warnings when they switched on.

One agent said the concern was whether someone was trying to hack into his firm’s system.

However, yesterday evening a spokesperson for ZPG, which owns the Property Software Group whose stable of products includes Jupix, allayed fears.

He said: “Earlier today we were made aware that a small number of users were experiencing issues with Jupix.

“These issues were created as a result of a software update to a particular antivirus software that some of our partners use and was not caused by the Jupix application.

“A second update was issued from the antivirus software later in the day thereby resolving the issue for Jupix users.”
