A property recruitment specialist has been recognised as one of the best companies in the UK.
Deverell Smith was ranked eighth best small company to work for in the Sunday Times’ annual Best Companies research.
The accolade came in the same week that Deverell Smith won the ‘Overall Engagement Award’ at Property Week’s annual Best Companies to Work For in Property awards.
The Sunday Times survey also placed Deverell Smith founder Andrew Deverell Smith sixth in the Most Inspirational CEO category.
The company was in fourth place (with a score of 93%) when it came to ‘confidence in senior management team’ and it was eighth when it came to how happy people are with their pay and benefits.
Chris Long, talent development director for Deverell Smith, said: “‘Meet the Right People’ has always been more than just a strapline, we are extremely proud of these prestigious accolades and our amazing team.
“Our ethos has always been to provide a working environment where our employees genuinely want to come to work every day and achieve their personal best and this is something we have very hard to build and nurture.
“Having engaged, happy and motivated employees is synonymous to the success of every business and Deverell Smith would not be where we are today without the energy, dedication and talent that our people provide.”
Deverell Smith was established in 2006 and claims to provide a ‘family feel’ working culture complete with ping pong tables, company holidays and up to 50% commission.
This is the third successive year that Deverell Smith has made the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For, having been placed 53rd in 2016 and 46th in 2017.
