An estate agency has undergone a management buy-out and is rebranding as Hunters.
Cumberland Estate Agents with ten branches was formerly part of the Cumberland Building Society Group.
It has now been bought by Graham Macleod, the agency’s managing director for the past three years.
It had been part of the Cumberland since 1989.
As Hunters it will continue to cover all of Cumbria, south-west Scotland and Lancaster, and plans to open a large central hub office in Carlisle. All are new areas for Hunters.
Macleod said: “This is a really positive development for this business and the region.”
Cumberland Building Society, the UK’s tenth largest, said it would now be concentrating on its core business of mortgages and savings.
