Michael Anthony estate agents has opened a new branch in Leighton Buzzard.
The company hosted a launch party which saw more than 130 people from local businesses attend the official occasion in Market Court off Peacock Mews. A ribbon was cut by the Mayor of the town Cllr Kevin Pughe.
“We invited all the companies in the town,” Senior branch manager Matthew Wood told the press. “There were people out of the back of the office, in the archway and the street.”
The new shop will initially be occupied by four agents across the sales and letting divisions.
The agents are also planning to be involved in the community, with sponsorship of the upcoming laser show for Bonfire Night and acting as a foodbank collection point for Leighton Linslade Helpers.
They will also be helping with toy collection for the Salvation Army and sponsoring events for KidsOut.
“We are trying to bring people back into the town and keep it local,” added Wood. “We are very much part of the community.”
Great initiative, well done and best wishes for the year ahead.

I like the Salvation Army, a genuine charity who actually help the homeless rather than make marketing spin, fingers crossed behind their back, claims they help the homeless.
As we charge towards Christmas please give cash to the Salvation Army, Crisis and the other genuine charities who help the homeless but don’t give a single penny to fund a telephone hotline that’s anti- agent and anti- landlord
