Estate agency moves into new office after fire destroyed former premises

Monks in Oswestry has moved into its new premises after a fire destroyed its previous office.

The estate agency is now located in a branch on Church Street after operating from a temporary office on Leg Street since June.

It comes after the company’s Cross Street office, which was previously occupied by Richmond Harvey, was severely damaged by a fire just days after they opened.

For business owners Judy Bourne and Patricia Baila, it was unfortunate given that they had just settled into the town.

They said: “It was heartbreaking to see the damage caused from the fire, which left us unable to operate from the premises we had just finished renovating.

“Following the fire our aim was to ensure that we carried on being able to provide an outstanding service for our clients and we up and running in a temporary office within 24 hours, thank you to the help of a local property management company.”

Due to the extent of work required to the premises on Cross Street the duo made the decision to secure prominent new premises so that they can continue working.

They added: “We are absolutely delighted with the new office and its fabulous transformation.

“We look forward to welcoming customers old and new – who are welcome to call in for an informal chat about all their property needs – the coffee is always on too.”
