Estate agency giant completes strategic acquisition

Lomond has further consolidated its position in the London property market with the acquisition of Battersea-based estate agency Hamnett & Ganpot.

This follows Lomond’s landmark acquisition of Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) at the tail end of last year, reinforcing its commitment to building a prominent presence across the capital.

Established 17 years ago by Oliver Hamnett and James Ganpot, Hamnett & Ganpot is a well-established agency in the Battersea area, specialising primarily in the local waterside market.

Lomond says this latest acquisition aligns with its long-term growth strategy, targeting high-demand areas experiencing significant regeneration – including the transformative Battersea Power Station development and the influx of newly built residences surrounding it.

John Ennis, CRO of Lomond, commented: “Our acquisition strategy is exemplified by the complementary nature of these recent deals – pairing the scale and heritage of KFH with the agility and specialist expertise of Hamnett & Ganpot. This acquisition strengthens our foothold in a pivotal London location, and we remain committed to partnering with businesses that align with our values and meet our high operational standards.”

Oliver Hamnett, co-founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, said: “After 17 years of building a business that prioritises long termclient relationships, we are delighted to hand the reins to Lomond, a company that shares our commitment to service excellence.”

James Ganpot, co-founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, added: “After many fulfilling years with Hamnett & Ganpot, my focus is now shifting towards the developer and construction sector. I look forward to new challenges while remaining in the industry, and I’mconfident that our clients are in the best possible hands.”
