Pacitti Jones has continued its acquisition drive with the purchase of Airdrie-based Abode Estate Agency, further expanding its presence in Lanarkshire.
The deal comes shortly after the firm acquired Bell Russell, the century-old solicitor, estate and letting agency also based in Airdrie.
Abode is one of the larger estate agencies serving Airdrie and North Lanarkshire. All existing staff will remain with the business and transfer to Pacitti Jones following the acquisition.
The deal will also give Abode clients access to Pacitti Jones’ wider range of services, including conveyancing, lettings, mortgages and private client legal work.
Pacitti Jones now operates from 15 branches across Scotland’s Central Belt, stretching from Glasgow and Stirling to Linlithgow.
The latest purchase forms part of the firm’s wider acquisition strategy as it looks to grow its footprint across Scotland.
Pacitti Jones chief executive John O’Malley, said: “We are delighted to come together with Abode who have a very strong presence in North Lanarkshire. It’s an excellent fit into our existing branch network throughout Lanarkshire and Central Scotland.
“Crucially all existing staff, including Mhairi, are remaining with the business which was
a key focus for us.
“We continue to look for opportunities to further expand across the Central Belt in Scotland and beyond.”
Mhairi Ainsworth, founder of Abode Estate Agency, commented: “This is an exciting new chapter for Abode, and I’m pleased to be passing the business into the safe hands of a team who share our commitment to delivering an exceptional service.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has chosen to place their trust in Abode over the past 10 years, and I very much look forward to working with the team at Pacitti Jones.
