The ESTAS have launched a new category for letting agents – who can now be voted for by tenants.

Up until now, only landlords of agents have been eligible to complete the survey rating agents on the level of customer service they provide.

However, based on feedback from agents, a new category – Best Letting Agent (rated by Tenants) – is now open for entry.

Simon Brown, who runs the ESTAS, said: “Referrals from tenants are a key marketing tool for letting agents.

“With the growth of social media it’s important agents provide good customer service to tenants just as they do for landlords.

“This new category gives agents the opportunity to show how they look after tenants and provides them with another way to promote their service to new tenants and their landlords.”
