In a double triumph for Marsh & Parsons, the London firm was crowned estate agent of the year on Friday, while its former boss Peter Rollings won the award for outstanding contribution.
The firm, now owned by LSL, was among those celebrating their wins at the Estate Agency of the Year awards organised by Estate Agency Events in association with the Sunday Times and The Times, and sponsored by Zoopla Property Group.
The judges’ report said it was “an absolute delight” to recognise Marsh & Parsons as the estate agent of the year – the second time it has won the award.
It won the title in 2010, making it one of only three agencies to have won the award more than once.
Rollings, who stepped down from the business earlier this year and whose successor is David Brown, was recognised for his contribution to the industry over 30 years.
Rollings began his career as a negotiator at Lane Fox before moving to Foxtons where he became managing director.
He left Foxtons to buy Marsh & Parsons in 2005, and after leaving in March this year is currently on a ‘gap year’.
Other notable winners in the awards included Logic Estates as the UK’s best single office agency; Charters in the small category; Pygott & Crone, medium; and Connells Group, large.
Supplier of the year was named as Reapit, and best agency to work for was Victorstone.
We warmly congratulate all the winners.
