Head of finance’s departure from NAEA and ARLA is confirmed – no reason given

The head of finance at Propertymark/NFoPP was dismissed last week, it has apparently been confirmed.

Rob Clutton became director of finance in 2009, and so was eight years in the job.

Propertymark ARLA chief executive David Cox told EYE: “Subject to the conclusion of our internal disciplinary process, I can confirm that Rob Clutton, Head of Finance, was dismissed from the organisation last week but there is no suggestion of any misuse of company funds.”

According to Companies House, Clutton was appointed as secretary to NFoPP in June last year.

His departure appears to follow that of marketing boss Brian Schubert.

EYE has been unable to reach either of the two men for comment.

Today staff at Arbon House are due to be briefed on structural changes at Propertymark in an off-site meeting.

It is believed that they will be told of the new direction that the organisation will be taking, possibly of one or two more redundancies, and of the possible appointment of a new operations director who may have previously been with the RICS.

Properymark has a great many questions to answer on a range of issues and would do well to remember it is still in name at least, a members organisation.

Surely someone being dismissed would want to argue against it and possibly air their defense so as to keep their job, granted, by then an untenable one unless of course the exit package is a non disclosure one thus sweeping under the carpet any erm possible underhand activity on either or both sides.

Surely the members are entitled to know what is going on, these “executives” are only a committee overseeing things for their members, wake up please, what new direction, it’s estate agency for heavens sake!!!
