The consultation into the sale of the Land Registry closes tonight at 11.45pm.
It does not give an option for keeping the Land Registry in public ownership, but gives various options regarding its privatisation.
The intention to sell it into private hands was confirmed in the Queen’s Speech.
However, a petition objecting to stop the sale is to be delivered to 10 Downing Street today.
The petition is here and if you are reading this early in the day, there should still be just enough time to sign it if you have not already done so.
By last night, it had over 270,000 signatures.
