Following a successful pilot, Countrywides’ shared ownership division has announced the launch of a re-sales offering for affordable housing providers.
Countrywide shared ownership’s re-sales service offers affordable housing providers just one central point of contact to manage the onward sale of a Shared ownership property.
Owen McLaughlin, managing director of Countrywide Land & New Homes, said: “Shared ownership has become a popular route to purchase a first home, and now increasing numbers of purchasers are selling on their properties to move up the ladder. The re-sale of a Shared Ownership property requires in-depth understanding of the compliance surrounding buyer and seller processes, but also needs local market knowledge that can only come from a high street estate agent.”
He added: “Our new 360-degree solution is unique to the industry, as we offer one point of contact with strong expertise in Shared Ownership to manage the entire re-sale process, while utilising our high street agency branches and national buyer database to market and find the right buyer for a property. We had great feedback while piloting the service, so we’re delighted to officially launch this offering to current and future affordable housing clients to help their resales processes run more smoothly.”
