Corporates vie with each other to snap up independent agents

The great acquisition race by corporates to acquire independents goes on.

Connells Group has acquired two further lettings business portfolios – Pullin Rose in Frome, Somerset, and Sky Lettings in Southampton.

The acquisitions see the Sky Lettings business transfer into Connells’ Fox & Sons’ Southampton branch.

Pullin Rose’s business will be absorbed into the Allen & Harris Frome branch, with owners Rosie and Richard Pullin retiring from the business but with all other staff retained in their current roles.

Fox & Sons and Allen & Harris are both part of Sequence, a subsidiary of Connells Group.

Mike Rowley, Connells Group Acquisitions director, said: “We continue to keep our foot on the gas for acquisitions, as our lettings expansions strategy continues.”

He stressed that Connells is keen to continue expanding its lettings network and hear from businesses looking for a sale, or that would like to become part of a larger group.
