Connells Group boosts land and new homes business with string of appointments

Connells has boosted its land and new homes division after reporting a bumper year in sales over 2018.

Connells Group brands sold 9,000 new homes last year and has now added to its offering by appointing 14 new recruits from both inside and outside the business.

Roger Barrett, land director for Connells Group, said: “This investment in new team members across Connells Group comes on the back of strong new homes performances in the last two years, having sold approximately 9,000 new homes in both 2017 and 2018, many of which have resulted from our increased influence in sourcing and selling development land to and for our developer clients.

“This comes despite more difficult trading conditions in 2018, shows our strength in this sector and supports our continued investment in this most important part of our business.

“As the UK’s most successful land and new homes business, we must ensure that we are providing the very best service to our land and developer clients, and to do so we need the best experts in our industry.

“We welcome our new additions, who will add further depth to our business and as we seek to maintain our position as the agent of choice for many leading UK builders and developers.”

The additions to the business are:

Allen & Harris land area manager, Richard Saunders

Sorry to chuck in an awkward question – but why is Lucy Bryant named in the above article as a Connells’ NHSM, when her LinkedIn profile states she has joined McCarthy & Stone?

Because the nature of corporate estate agency is that a lot of people have a very short shelf life, I bet half of them don’t make it until Christmas.

I would respectfully suggest that the percentage of Corporate Agency personnel that have been employed since, say, 2014, is a lot higher than, say, a certain online/hybrid agent has employed since 2014…

…and as to the percentage of that company’s workforce that make it to Christmas?
